STAR BEADS Streptavidin – Magnetic beads for immunoprecipitation

Overview

STAR BEADS Streptavidin provides fast and efficient way for isolating biotinylated-molecules such as antibodies, proteins, nucleic acids etc. The highly magnetic STAR BEADS can be combined with both manual and automatic methods for various applications such as Immunoprecipitation, Target Enrichment and  Protein Purification. It is based on the principle of biotin-streptavidin interaction, which is one of the strongest non-covalent bonds to exist in nature.

STAR BEADS Streptavidin are silica-based magnetic beads (250-350 nm in size), covalently bound to recombinant Streptavidin, with high binding capacity (15U/mg of Streptavidin). These beads show high yields and  reproducible results for different down streaming applications. STAR BEADS Streptavidin are available for bulk order and for OEM contract.

0.5 mg of magnetic beads from each manufacturer was overloaded with 10 nmol of biotinylated Fluorescein. Quantification was carried out using Perkin-Elmer Victor using 488 laser.

Recovery of RAM-Biotin from 50 µg of RAM-Biotin using 0,25 mg of each brand bead solution.
