Overview

STAR BEADS Protein G are uniformly dispersed silica-based magnetic particles, 1 μM in size, with recombinant Protein G (∼17 kDa) covalently coupled to the surface. These particles are ideal for immunoprecipitation of proteins for both manual and automated protocols. STAR BEADS Protein G are microplastic-free magnetic beads affording reproducible isolation of target proteins in a simple and efficient workflow.

1 mg of magnetic beads from each manufacturer was overloaded with IgG by mixing the beads with 100 μl of human serum. Quantification was carried out by Implen NP80.
