Overview

STAR BEADS Pathogen DNA/RNA Extraction Kit, CE-IVDR certified, provides a fast and efficient purification method to isolate high-quality pathogen DNA and RNA from a set of biological samples such as whole blood, swabs, plasma, urine, faeces.

The kit has been clinically validated for the extraction of CMV DNA from whole blood, sexually transmitted pathogens (STPs) NA from vaginal swabs and urine, HPV DNA from cervical swab, Monkey Pox from lesion swabs, Sars-CoV-2 from respitatory swabs, Candida, Clostridium and other pathogens from faeces, HSV-1, Neisseria Meningitidis and other pathogens from cerebrospinal fluid. For other pathogen/matrix species, performance must be validated by the customer.

The extracted highly pure nucleic acids are ready for downstream reactions, including Real-Time PCR, qRT-PCR, Sanger Sequencing, NGS, PCR, and other enzymatic reactions.
