Rapid isolation of cfDNA from plasma and other body fluids

Rapid isolation of cfDNA from plasma and other body fluids

Our new technology for the extraction of cfDNA is undergoing its beta-testing phase. We are looking for labs interested in supporting us in this activity.

STAR BEADS cfDNA Extraction Kit provides a fast and efficient purification method to isolate high-quality cfDNA from plasma and other body fluids.

The extraction procedure can be completed in less than two hours to yield highly pure cell-free DNA ready for downstream reactions, including real-time PCR, Sanger Sequencing and Next Generation Sequencing.

The kit is designed for manual extraction. Thanks to its magnetic bead technology, it is also fully automatable, using automatic nucleic acid purification systems to process high-volume samples.

Typical results from human plasma. Cell-free DNA was isolated using STAR BEADS cfDNA Extraction Kit from 1 mL of plasma obtained from blood collected in EDTA collection tubes. One µL of eluate was analysed on a High Sensitivity DNA chip on the 2100 Bioanalyzer™ and gave an evident band at about 170 bp (see gel-like image generated by Bioanalyzer™ on the left) corresponding to a peak (see electropherogram generated by Bioanalyzer™ on the right).
